“Dad: A son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love.”
When does a dad joke become a dad joke? When it becomes apparent! We all know dads have the best dad jokes but they also have some of the best advice and life lessons! We spent some time talking to our clients about their Fathers, here are some of the sweet responses!
“My Father didn’t want us to be racial & wanted us to treat everyone fairly.”
-LB
“My Father taught me to play baseball.”
-BB
“He taught me how to get in and out of the car. He taught me to step in instead of sliding.”
-AH
“He taught me all the good habits I have. The push for education which was unusual for 3 daughters. My parents were very religious, kind, and good people.
-MB
“I remember him saying you should be glad to pay taxes because it meant we had the money to do it.”
-JB
“Patience. I remember my dad telling me when I was working with a wrench that the wrench had no brains, it was stupid but with patience I can get it to do what I want it to. Another thing was he taught me was to be honest and sympathetic of others. He was a hard worker and believed in helping others and he taught me to be like that too”
-BC
“He worked hard, made a garden, grew blue grapes and made wine. Worked in coal mines, with concrete & at the golf course. He lived to be 93.”
-AE
“Every Sunday he would call up all the kids to come over and have lunch, so it was like Father’s Day was every week.”
-FF
“He was my teacher in grade school for 3 years and was the hardest teacher I had. He had a great humor, very loving, and fair. He was a lot of fun.”
-NS
“My parents were divorced when I was young, but my Grandfather was wonderful. He helped me learn to read and helped me with schoolwork.”
-JK
“He taught me what to expect from men. He was a really good Father.”
-VM
“My Father taught me to do the best you can because he really had a lot to deal with. My Mother passed away when I was seven years old, leaving my dad with two young children and it was the beginning of the Depression. Considering what he had to deal with, he did great.”
